New Manitowoc MLC150-1 ensures IUOE’s flagship operator training center stays at the forefront of equipment technology
• The 150-ton class MLC150-1 lattice-boom crawler becomes the fifth crane from Manitowoc in operation at the union’s 265-acre International Training & Education Center in Crosby, Texas.
• The crawler is equipped with the latest Manitowoc Crane Control System (CCS) to ensure operators of all levels are comprehensively trained on the technology.
• Manitowoc has partnered with the union for over 20 years, providing cranes of all types to local chapters across the U.S. and Canada.
South American company Grúas y Equipos Cruz del Sur overcomes space-restricted urban jobs with Potain MCH 125
• Santiago, Chile-based crane and construction equipment company has found that its first hydraulic topless luffing jib crane is ideal in constrained city projects due to its flexibility and versatility.
• One of the standout features of the MCH 125 is its VVH hydraulic luffing jib technology for raising and lowering the jib, which can move the jib from horizontal to 87° in less than two minutes.
• The crane is the first of its kind to arrive in Chile and South America.

Celebrating success: National Crane marks its 75th anniversary
• The company was founded in 1947 as Burg Manufacturing in Nebraska and merged into National Crane Corp. in 1963. It became part of the Manitowoc crane brand portfolio in 2002.
• For decades the National Crane brand has been synonymous with boom trucks, and it remains the market leader to this day.

Three Grove GMK3060L-1 and one GMK5150L-1 all-terrain crane for French transport specialist Groupe Cayon
• Longstanding Manitowoc customer Groupe Cayon from Chalon-sur-Saône in France received three new Grove GMK3060L-1 all-terrain cranes and one GMK5150L-1 for its growing fleet of cranes in 2021 and 2022.
• Groupe Cayon chose the compact 60 t Grove all-terrain cranes for their long boom and strong taxi load charts, and the 150 t Grove taxi crane for erecting tower cranes.
Manitowoc appoints Stirnimann as Potain tower crane dealer in Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands
• As of January 1, 2022, Stirnimann is responsible for the distribution of Potain top-slewing and self-erecting tower cranes, as well as offering rental, servicing, and spare parts, across Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands.
• Stirnimann already enjoys a close relationship with Manitowoc, having served as Potain dealer for Switzerland since 1986 and for Austria since 2015.
• From its base in Ølstykke, near Copenhagen, the dealer is committed to bringing its deep technical knowledge and high standard of service to customers across the new territories.
No location too challenging for Potain and Grove cranes
• In Positano, on Italy’s picturesque Amalfi Coast, Gemar has deployed a Potain MDT 189 tower crane, erected by a Grove GMK4100L-1 all-terrain crane, to overcome the challenges of constructing a multi-story parking lot into the side of a cliff on a site with limited space and access.
National Crane to display short-configuration NBT45-2 at Work Truck Week 2022
• National Crane’s application engineering team collaborated with customers and a truck manufacturer to design a shorter-chassis boom truck that increases maneuverability without sacrificing lifting capacity.
• Engineers at the Truck Mod Center removed just under 2 ft from the wheelbase, delivering the tightest turning radius in its class while maintaining the 45 USt maximum capacity.
