  • Huit grues Potain s’associent pour construire l’impressionnant nouveau bâtiment CityWave à Milan

    • CMB et Colombo Costruzioni, deux des noms les plus respectés du secteur de la construction en Italie, s’associent pour la construction d’un tout nouveau projet révolutionnaire avec la pré-certification LEED Platine, qui sera le tout premier bâtiment à usage mixte de Milan avec un impact environnemental nul.
    • Ces deux sociétés, utilisatrices de longue date des grues à tour de Potain, ont travaillé aux côtés de l’équipe Lift Solutions de Manitowoc pour sélectionner une combinaison parfaite de huit grues adaptées à la forme unique du bâtiment à mesure de l’avancement de la construction.

  • Grove améliore le modèle GMK6400-1 sous la dénomination GMK6450-1

    • Grove a répondu à la demande des clients à la recherche d’une grue dotée d’une capacité supérieure en proposant le modèle GMK6450-1 de Grove.
    • La mise à jour de la dénomination répond aux retours des clients et met plus précisément en avant les capacités de levage supérieures de la grue dans la catégorie à six essieux.
    • La capacité nominale maximale passe de 400 t à 450 t.

  • Potain soutient le premier programme diplômant de monteur de grues à tour en France

    • La nouvelle initiative de la Potain Academy allie cours théoriques et formation pratique dédiés au montage de grues à tour. 
    • Les participants recevront un diplôme reconnu par l’État à l’issue d’un programme de dix semaines, contribuant ainsi au développement professionnel des monteurs de grues à tour.

Auto-Klug takes Germany’s first Grove GMK4100L-1 to be equipped with a K-100 synthetic rope

Germany’s Auto-Klug has acquired its first Grove GMK4100L-1 all-terrain crane. It was delivered to the company’s Bindlach branch in southeast Germany where it plans to use the crane for a wide range of lifting applications that support its transport operations.

Barge-mounted MLC650 boosts efficiency for Virginia transmission tower replacement

Cianbro is the latest company to take advantage of the barge-mounted benefits that Manitowoc crawler cranes with Variable Position Counterweight (VPC) offer. The Pittsfield Maine-based construction firm is using a Manitowoc MLC650 to help replace two aging transmission towers on the James River near Charles City Virginia. The new towers will help feed energy from a nearby nuclear plant to the surrounding area when construction is completed.

Young welder wins WELDCUP for Manitowoc Cranes

Manitowoc Cranes is pleased to recognize Gisela Brust for her outstanding performance at this year’s WELDCUP the European young welder competition that took place in Düsseldorf Germany in September. Brust ranked second in the category of manual metal arc welding (MMAW) and also helped the German national team to win a silver medal in the WELDCUP rankings.

On the rise in Southeast Asia: Potain Hup cranes

Manitowoc staged promotional events in Thailand and Malaysia to celebrate the region’s first arrivals of the Hup 32-27 from the Potain range of self-erecting cranes. Grove showcases industry-leading GMK4100L-1 and GMK5150 cranes at GIS 2017

Manitowoc Cranes is celebrating a successful showing at the sixth edition of the Italian Cranes and Access and Heavy Transport Show (GIS) 2017 in Piacenza Italy. During the three-day show the company displayed a few of its industry-leading all-terrain cranes the Grove GMK4100L-1 and GMK5150 which feature new taxi configurations for more efficient road travel.

Manitowoc appoints new Grove dealers for Asia-Pacific

Manitowoc has appointed two new dealers for its Grove brand in Asia-Pacific to support growing demand in the region for its advanced range of mobile cranes. The appointed companies are: Rainbow Ace Ltd. of Hong Kong; and Tuyet Nga Co. Ltd. (TNC) based in Hanoi Vietnam. Both will sell the full line of Grove all-terrain rough-terrain and truck cranes and offer comprehensive Manitowoc Crane Care customer support.

Pfeiffer Cranes’ GMK6400 perfect for Musselroe Wind Farm Tasmania

When a wind turbine at the Musselroe Wind Farm in Tasmania Australia required a change of gearbox and generator a Grove GMK6400 all-terrain crane turned out to be the perfect choice for the job. Woolnorth Wind Farms owner and operator of the Musselroe location contracted turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Technology to manage the replacement work.

Grove cranes support infrastructure growth in the Philippines

MDC Equipment Solutions (MEQ) the equipment supply subsidiary of Filipino construction giant Makati Development Corporation (MDC) has added a number of Manitowoc-brand cranes to its fleet. The growing MEQ fleet now includes a team of 28 Grove mobile cranes an increasingly prominent brand in the MEQ equipment mix. The most recent arrivals are four RT530E-2 rough-terrain cranes; while two TMS700E truck cranes and a GMK5220 all-terrain crane have also been added in recent months.

Bolivian rental company adds Grove GMK6300L to its fleet as construction industry heats up

Alanoca has taken delivery of its first Grove GMK6300L all-terrain crane. The El Alto-based rental company added the GMK6300L to its fleet to keep up with the increased demand for lifting solutions in Bolivia where a large number of construction projects are underway. The new Grove will arrive in October at Alanoca’s facilities and will see immediate use by contractors on numerous large-scale projects.
