La première Hup 40-30 Potain livrée à la société AGESIBAT pour un projet de construction de logements
AGESIBAT a réceptionné la première Potain Hup 40-30 en France et l’a installée rapidement sur son premier chantier un projet de construction de logements en Vendée. Cette grue va permettre la construction de 11 maisons à partir d’un point unique. Sa longue portée de 40 mètres lui permet de couvrir l’ensemble du périmètre des travaux permettant ainsi à l’entreprise une optimisation de moyens sur les levages nécessaires.
First Potain Hup cranes in Australia go to Active Crane Hire
The first two Potain Hup self-erecting cranes in Australia have been delivered to Active Crane Hire of NSW and immediately put to work on a residential development project in Ryde a Sydney suburb. The cranes are assisting in the construction of a seven-story apartment building and were chosen for their compact footprints and versatile configuration options which make them ideal for such urban low-rise construction projects.
Grove GMK6400 lays foundation for world’s largest Ferris wheel
Construction of one of the world’s largest Ferris wheels is underway in New York City and a Grove GMK6400 has helped contractors to build its foundation. The structure—dubbed the New York Wheel—will stand 630 ft tall when it’s completed on the northern shore of Staten Island.
Manitowoc to feature a wide variety of new Grove and Potain cranes at Vertikal Days 2017
Manitowoc will showcase several industry-leading cranes and technologies at Vertikal Days 2017 which will take place on May 24th and 25th. The company will be at Booths #400-401 and will have a wide array of Grove and Potain cranes on display for the fast-growing trade show.
Major Middle East shipbuilder chooses Grove cranes
Suez Shipyard Company has purchased two new Grove all-terrain cranes a Grove GMK5130-2 and a GMK4080-1 through Orascom Trading the Manitowoc dealer for Egypt. These new additions mean the facility now has seven mobile cranes with the latest deliveries being the company’s first Manitowoc-made units. The Egyptian shipbuilder is one of the most celebrated in the region with its facilities boasting the largest floating dock in the Middle East as well as its oldest graving dock.
Manitowoc’s EnCORE program delivers a refurbished lifting solution to De Gerlien van Tiem Shipyard
When it was time for De Gerlien van Tiem Shipyard (De Gerlien) to replace a 26-year old Potain crane that had seen the end of its lifecycle the Netherlands-based company got advice from crane servicing company Lamberts BV for an often-overlooked solution—not a new crane but a refurbished crane from Manitowoc’s EnCORE program.
ArtiCon expands Faroe Islands fleet with a Grove GMK5250L
One of the Faroe Islands’ fastest growing companies is set to bolster its growth with the addition of a new Grove GMK5250L. ArtiCon was established in 2001 and in just 16 years has already grown to employ some 200 people. Grove GMK5250L makes its Southern Africa debut at world’s richest diamond mine
Officials at Jwaneng diamond mine have taken delivery of the mine’s first 250 t Grove GMK5250L all-terrain crane. Not only is this model crane a first for the Botswana-based mine it’s also the first ever GMK5250L crane to be delivered in Southern Africa.
J. Hewitt Crane Hire boost rental fleet with Grove GMK5250L
The Grove GMK5250L has quickly become a hit with lifting companies looking to bolster their capabilities with an all-terrain crane that has the highest capacity and best load charts in its class. J. Hewitt Crane Hire is the latest company to add the 250 t (300 USt) crane to its fleet and chose the crane for its (70 m) 230-ft boom reach and its five-axle maneuverability. The company also saw benefit in the crane’s VIAB turbo clutch and integrated retarder which eliminates both fluid overheating and clutch burning.
KIL commemorates 41 years of partnership with Potain at CONEXPO 2017
Manitowoc Cranes held a special ceremony for Korea International Ltd (KIL) at CONEXPO 2017 in Las Vegas Nevada. The companies celebrated their long successful partnership with a champagne toast calling special attention to KIL’s 41-year track record of being the exclusive dealer of Potain cranes in South Korea.
Potain Hup cranes showcased at Italian trade fair SaMoTer
Last month the Potain Hup 40-30 crane was presented at international earth-moving and building machinery exhibition SaMoTer in Verona Italy. Verona-based Potain dealer Toffoli Macchine exhibited the pioneering crane alongside the Hup 32-27 and Igo 21.
Grove rough-terrain cranes power hydroelectric dam in Peru
A team of five Grove rough-terrain cranes helped to build the 525 MW-capacity Cerro del Aguila hydroelectric power plant in the province of Tayacaja Peru. Two Grove RT530E-2s two RT765E-2s and a RT9130E-2 were all working long shifts on the four-year project that will alleviate the country’s fast-growing demand for electricity.
