Manitowoc has recognized its longstanding dealer Kranark during bauma 2019. Founded in 2013 Kranark provides both the sale rental and superior service of Grove cranes to companies across Russia.

Grove rough-terrain cranes at bauma 2019 highlight The Manitowoc Way

In 2018 Manitowoc’s factory in Niella Tanaro Italy boosted production of Grove rough-terrain cranes to better serve customers in Europe Africa the Middle East and Asia-Pacific and this enhanced capability is highlighted at bauma 2019. The company is showing two rough-terrain cranes at the exhibition a 100 t capacity GRT8100 and a 51 t capacity GRT655L. The GRT8100 on show was built at the Italian plant while Manitowoc plans to start building the GRT655L there in future.

Potain and Stirnimann celebrate the success of the new Hup C 40-30 at bauma 2019

The new Potain Hup C 40-30 is unique to Manitowoc’s Potain self-erecting tower crane line. This crane is from the groundbreaking Hup range and is enhanced with crawler tracks for ultimate mobility on job sites with challenging terrain (hence the “C” in the model’s name).

The hotel is set to become the centerpiece of the city’s prestigious waterside precinct. But space is at a premium on the Elizabeth Quay site where the A$500 million hotel sits just 30 m from the waterfront.

Manitowoc Cranes has appointed a new Potain self-erecting crane dealer Leavitt Cranes. The company will sell and support the cranes in Washington and Oregon as well as providing consultation and training. The Washington-based company a division of Pacific Northwest Company has an extensive history of equipment sales and rentals in the region which will enable it to leverage an already diverse customer base and years of sales service and training experience for Potain customers.

Metcalf Crane Services uses innovative integrated heavy-duty jib for Grove GMK5250L on Australian rail project

Australian rental company Metcalf Crane Services utilized the integrated heavy-duty jib (known locally as a ‘machinery runner’) on a Grove GMK5250L to handle the delicate unloading and installation of wall panels for a new rail corridor project in Seaford Victoria. Using the machinery runner from the Grove all-terrain crane which is integrated into the crane’s swingaway jib allows the use of both main and auxiliary hoists for the operation of two hooks simultaneously.

Grove GMK tandem lift showcases impressive heavy lift at Detroit docks

JJ Curran (www.jjcurran.com) a Detroit Michigan-based crane rental and lifting service was recently called upon to help with a massive lifting job at the city docks. The project involved hoisting a 116.5 USt gas “scrubber ” which was 109 ft long and 19.5 ft in diameter from a barge docked on the Detroit River to the dock on Zug Island. Once landed on Zug Island it would be transported to its final destination at the steel mill. The scrubber will be set vertically in position at the mill during a plant-wide shutdown this coming spring.

New Potain cranes get to work for Filipino contractor Whiteport

General contractor Whiteport has purchased two new Potain MCT 205 tower cranes both of which will be used on a range of projects around Manila Philippines. Arthur Loscano assistant vice president for equipment at Whiteport said his company’s previous good experiences with Potain prompted these latest investments.
