Mega fleet of Manitowoc crawler cranes creates a new chapter in the history of iconic Florida bridge
• A new, three-mile-long Howard Frankland Bridge is being constructed over Tampa Bay, alongside the famous-yet-flawed original span.
• Over 20 Manitowoc crawler cranes are currently being used to drive sheet and piles and build columns and set beams and decks. The cranes were adapted for use in the marine environment in partnership with the manufacturer and dealers Walter Payton Power Equipment and Ring Power Crane.
Manitowoc MLC650 makes turbine installation a breeze on South Korean wind farm
• The crane is owned by Shinui Petra and comes with Manitowoc’s 3.5 m wide boom kit option – it is the first MLC650 outside of North America to utilize this performance-enhancing attachment.
• Due to difficult site conditions, no other crane could be used – with its VPC-MAX technology, the MLC 650 requires only 10% of the ground preparation compared with competitors.

High five! Nordic Crane buys five Grove five-axle cranes
• Five new Grove all-terrain cranes have been added to the fleet of Nordic Crane and will be split between the company’s facilities in Norway and Sweden.
• The company ordered a mix of 250 t GMK5250XL-1 and 150 t GMK5150L-1 cranes.
• Among the cranes' sustainable features are biodegradable hydraulic oil and HVO compatible engines.
Florida manatees gain ‘lift’ from Shuttlelift SCD09 industrial crane at ZooTampa
• Florida zoo acquires a Shuttlelift carrydeck crane exclusively for supporting its manatee rehab program, transferring animals between transport trucks and pools as well as providing an efficient daily weighing solution.
• The intuitive ease of use of this highly maneuverable crane is greatly appreciated by the zoo staff.
• The new crane replaces a vintage Shuttlelift 3330E that provided exceptional support for over 20 years, helping hundreds of manatees receive treatment at the facility.
First Potain MDT 489 in North America goes to Compass Equipment
• The Southwestern company, which is often an early adopter of new Potain models, purchased the first crane upon the model launch last year. The crane was commissioned on its first job on the Las Vegas Strip in May.
• The MDT 489 delivers high capacity while offering the cost-saving benefits of easy transport and quick assembly, delivering fleet owners and general contractors a strong ROI and assurance that they will receive a quality crane that will be ready to work quickly.

Two Potain MC 125 cranes are building a complex Metro project in Pune, India
• Working in one of the most crowded areas of Pune, India, the tower cranes are sited on the most challenging section of the Metro Line 03 development
• Both cranes are configured with the maximum 60 m jib while their compact counter-jib enables the cranes to work within the confined space
• The cranes were initially assembled to a height under hook of 43.5 m, with one eventually climbing to 60 m.
High-capacity Potain tower cranes selected for French data center construction
• Demathieu et Bard is using three Potain tower cranes – two MDT 489 models and an MDT 809 – to build a data center close to Paris.
• The French construction company selected the cranes for their high capacities, excellent load curves, speed, ease of assembly, and optimized transport.
• The cranes were assembled quickly and easily using a five-axle Grove GMK5250XL-1 all-terrain crane. The crane has the longest and most powerful boom in its class, yet still offers compact dimensions.
Manitowoc to showcase total lifting solutions at bauma 2022
• The Company returns to bauma in Munich, Germany, with a complete range of products and services aimed at serving the infrastructure, alternative energy, and industrial end markets.
• In addition to showcasing the latest cranes, Manitowoc will highlight its expanded range of aftermarket services and technologies, including GROVE / POTAIN CONNECT, a new telematics platform.
