Manitowoc unveils Potain MDT 159 topless tower crane at bauma 2022 to simplify urban construction
• The latest addition to the Potain MDT City crane range is the MDT 159 which is ideal for small to midsized building projects.
• It comes equipped with the new Potain CONNECT™ telematics system for remote monitoring.
• For greater versatility, owners can choose between two trolleys – a DMP unit with permanent double reeving for maximum lifting power or an SM/DM Quick Lock™ trolley for the flexibility to change reeving.
Potain unveils first in new generation of luffing jib tower cranes at bauma 2022
• Manitowoc launched the MR 229 at bauma 2022, the first of a new generation of Potain luffing jib tower cranes.
• The Potain MR 229 is the first luffing jib crane to feature Manitowoc’s CCS (Crane Control System) and the new Potain CONNECT™ telematics offering.
• The design of the 14 t capacity crane facilitates easy installation on confined jobsites and delivers productive performance.
Manitowoc launches the new Grove GRT8100-1 rough-terrain crane at bauma 2022
• The upgraded version of the popular GRT8100 rough-terrain crane benefits from a new carrier that features MAXbase, the variable outrigger positioning system that enables better lifting capacity and site access.
• There’s also a repowered engine for the GRT8100-1 that meets Euromot 5/Tier 4 Final requirements, delivering 10% more power as well as greater fuel efficiency.

Canadian company R&D Crane brings together four cranes to deliver major Toronto bridge
• A Model 16000 crawler crane and three Grove all-terrain models combined to lift a 466.6 t bridge section onto self-propelled transporter for later unloading and installation.
• The lift was performed by R&D Crane, sister company of the fabricator and part of the Nova Scotia-based Cherubini Group.
• The lift was completed seamlessly within four hours, with the cranes and their operators working in total harmony.

Grove RT550E rough-terrain crane selected for German marina

Potain MR 295 luffing jib cranes climb to new heights on high rise project in southern France
• Longstanding Potain customer Léon Gosse has deployed two MR 295 luffing jib cranes to help build the new Mirabeau Tower on the Marseille waterfront.
• The French contractor chose the Potain cranes for their compact format, proven reliability, and efficiency to complete the construction project.
• The cranes are the first in France to use the latest generation AK801 anchoring frames to increase the free-standing heights for cranes and reduce the number of anchoring points.
Merkel Autokrane selects pair of Grove cranes for complex tandem lift
• A Grove GMK5250XL-1 and GMK5250L teamed up to lift precast concrete beams for a new parking garage at the offices of a major online retailer in Bamberg, Germany.
• The two all-terrain cranes worked seamlessly together, installing the beams in just one day.
