Maxim Crane Works inks 51 Grove crane order to support its expansion strategy
• The leading crane rental company in North America has purchased 51 Grove mobile cranes, a mix of high capacity rough-terrain cranes and five- and six-axle all-terrain cranes.
• After speaking with customers, Maxim selected cranes it knew would be in demand over the coming five years.

Strabag deploys Potain MDT 809 topless crane for FAIR particle accelerator facility construction in Germany
• Strabag has deployed Germany’s first Potain MDT 809 tower crane, which, with a capacity of up to 40 t and 80 m of jib, is the largest topless crane ever to be built by Manitowoc.
• The Austrian contractor required the giant crane to meet its capacity and reach requirements for the FAIR particle accelerator facility construction project in Darmstadt, Germany, where it was installed on March 31 and will remain for three years.

Belgian Potain dealer BLE sells 500th self-erecting crane
• BLE (Belgium Lifting Equipment), which has supplied and serviced Potain self-erecting cranes in Belgium since 2008, has reached a major milestone.
• The Puurs, Flanders-based dealer has sold its 500th self-erecting crane, a Potain Hup 40-30, to AS Bau to be used in structural work and roofing, as well as the installation of facades, exterior carpentry, and other exterior fittings.

Manitowoc to exhibit Grove and Potain cranes at JDL 2021

HEC students engage in MLC100-1 assembly safety class as Georgia campus takes delivery of new crawler crane
• Forty students participated in a field day class on May 19th and watched the crawler crane be assembled and tested.
• Students learned assembly safety protocols and said the crane had “unbelievable control systems,” according to HEC President and CEO Bob Albano.
• The college has taken delivery of two new Manitowoc MLC100-1 crawler cranes to join its fleet of approximately 15 Manitowoc and Grove cranes.
