In the past when Potain cranes reached the end of their operational life customers would sell them on or scrap them as part of trade-in deals. However Manitowoc’s EnCORE™ program gives customers a third option providing used cranes with a new lease of life and allowing owners to increase their overall return on investment.

Potain is bringing two models from its stellar lineup of self-erecting cranes to this year’s ARTIBAT 2018 construction tradeshow in Rennes France from October 24 – 26. The company will be at booth T2 B01 and is partnering for the event with regional Potain distributors JFM TONYMAT and SOME.

The construction of the new Central Police Hospital in Lima Peru is underway with the help of four Potain tower cranes. Two MC 175 B and two MC 125 cranes are providing fast work at the job site lifting formwork prefabricated blocks and more to ensure the new hospital will be ready at the start of 2019. The new six-story building is being constructed in the same spot where the old hospital was demolished in the Jesus Maria district.

National Crane has developed a tractor-mounted version of its popular NBT30H-2 the NBT30H-2 TM. The 30 USt machine was created as a response to the company’s Voice of the Customer feedback program an integral part of The Manitowoc Way. It went from concept to production in just eight months and was designed by a cross-functional team of experts from Manitowoc’s Lift Solutions team and National Crane’s Truck Modification Center as well as the company’s engineering team.

Back in 1962 John “JJ” Curran was a budding young entrepreneur starting a crane company in Detroit Michigan. His first purchase was a Grove RT-58 and nearly 60 years later the crane is still a money maker for JJ Curran Crane Company.

A new range of High Performance Lifting (HPL) winches for Potain tower cranes are available from Manitowoc. The winches bring new levels of speed control and efficiency to the industry. With an innovative design and the latest in frequency-controlled technology the winches offer optimized energy consumption combined with a greater choice of hoisting speeds.

Maxim Crane Works is adding several Manitowoc cranes to its industry-leading fleet. The company has purchased 19 new cranes that come from the Grove rough-terrain and truck-mounted ranges as well as the National Crane boom truck line. The Wilder Kentucky-based company has long been a Manitowoc customer and relies on the manufacturer’s cranes for a variety of applications particularly for large construction and petrochemical applications.

Manitowoc’s newest all-terrain crane the best-in-class Grove GMK4090 will make its Australian debut at this year’s CICA 2018 event. The event organized by the Crane Industry Council of Australia will be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from October 17 to 19.
