Schaz buys second Grove all-terrain crane
Schaz’s first Grove crane a 100 t capacity GMK4100L was bought in 2011. The crane’s reliability and low cost of ownership impressed its owners who soon decided to buy the second crane as managing director Gerd Schaz explains.
“We work on many different projects across the region so we need cranes that are quick to set up and easy to use ” he says. “Grove cranes are very cost-effective to operate and allow us to take on more jobs.”
The GMK5130-2 will be used across the local region as a taxi crane. The crane’s 11 t counterweight is larger than any other equivalent machine in the market giving it an impressive load chart. The GMK5130-2 features a 60 m main boom that can lift up to 10 t when fully extended.
Established more than 40 years ago Schaz has a fleet of seven cranes which are used across the local region on general construction and maintenance projects.
