New Finnish Grove dealer sells first two cranes
Recently appointed Grove distributor for Finland Machinery Oy has made its first two sales to Turku-based rental company Nostokonepalvelu Oy. The GMK3060 all-terrain crane was delivered in July and the GMK4100L will be delivered later this month – both making valuable additions to the customer’s growing fleet.
As one of the latest Grove cranes to launch into the market the GMK3060 was displayed at the MAXPO Trade Exhibition which took place from 10-12 September 2015 in Hyvinkää Finland. Machinery Oy exhibited a number of models at the show with more than 15 000 visitors from the municipal and private real estate sectors attending.
“MAXPO is the most important exhibition for the construction industry here in Finland and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to showcase our latest Grove model – the GMK3060 ” explains Vesa Hakkarainen business area director – Cranes at Machinery Oy. “The mobile crane is easy to transport by road for use in remote locations which is very helpful in a predominantly rural country such as Finland. As our first customer to buy the model we will keep in close contact with Nostokonepalvelu Oy to ensure that the GMK3060 not only meets – but surpasses their expectations.”
The three-axle Grove GMK3060 is the first crane in the Grove all-terrain range to feature Manitowoc’s new standardized Crane Control System (CCS) one of the most user-friendly interfaces on the market. The CCS hardware is a set of highly reliable and well-tested components including joysticks control units and a jog dial enabling highly intuitive crane control.
The GMK3060 also features boom optimization which allows the operator to input basic lift parameters such as load radius and load height so that the system can automatically select the optimal boom options for performing the lift. This saves time at the job site and makes the set-up process much easier.
The four-axle 100 t capacity Grove GMK4100L has proven popular in other markets thanks to its 60 m boom that increases its versatility. “The GMK4100L is an ideal product for a rental company because it can be used in multiple applications ” adds Hakkarainen.
