Manitowoc has celebrated the delivery of its first two Potain cranes to PT Indonesia Pondasi Raya (known locally as PT Indopora) one of which is a Hup 32-27 self-erecting crane the first in Indonesia. Both the Hup and the MC 310 K12 top-slewing crane join PT Indopura’s fleet of 100-plus cranes the majority of which are crawler and mobile units.
Manuel owner of PT Indopora received the new cranes from PT Multicrane Perkasa the Potain dealer for Indonesia. He said his company purchased them to support the expansion of its business.
“We specialize in foundation work but as our business has expanded we’ve taken on more projects that include above-ground construction so we need tower cranes to support that ” he said. “A lot of our projects use precast construction which can be quite heavy so we opted for Potain cranes as they have some of the best load charts in the business.”
Both cranes are working at separate job sites in West Java. The Hup 32-27 is deployed on the EcoHome project a residential development that is part of the CitraRaya Tangerang integrated township. The groundbreaking Hup 32-27 is one of Potain’s newest self-erecting cranes and features more than 20 configurations with one mast two telescoping heights four jib positions and a partial jib configuration.
In its compact travel configuration it is less than 12 m in length making it easier to move onto job sites. Once there it’s footprint is only 4 m x 4 m. The crane has a maximum capacity of 4 t and at its 32 m maximum radius it can lift 1 t. With its jib in the horizontal position up to 27 m of height under hook is available however this can be boosted to 40 m by luffing the jib upwards to 30°.
The MC 310 K12 is lifting precast sections and other materials for the construction of a shopping mall in Taman Harapan Indah Bekasi City. The MC 310 K12 has a maximum capacity of 12 t and at its maximum radius of 70 m it can lift 3.2 t.
