Crane Services adds NBT55 boom truck to boost its fleet

Crane Services just took delivery of its second National Crane NBT55 unit during a visit to Manitowoc’s facilities in Shady Grove Pennsylvania. The 55 t boom truck is the seventh National Crane owned by the Appleton Wisconsin-based company and it will help increase its ability to quickly deliver lifting services.

Rick Mueller president of Crane Services said the NBT55’s “very smooth controls and rock-solid operation” were factors in the company’s decision to purchase another boom truck.

“The NBT55 is extremely stable during use throughout its entire load chart ” he said. “It delivers great capacities like a truck crane but it also has the comfort and highway speed of a commercial truck when out on the road.”

According to Mueller Crane Services has owned truck cranes in the past that had a “rough highway feel ” but its National Crane models perform smoothly during travel. The company also uses an NBT40 among its National Crane fleet.

The company’s newest NBT55 which has a 128 ft boom and will also come with a 26 ft to 45 ft telescoping offsettable jib will primarily work on residential and commercial projects throughout Wisconsin such as steel erection and the installation of HVAC units.

Crane Services bought the NBT55 from Milwaukee Wisconsin-based Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental a division of the ALL Family of Companies group.
