CLT expands plans for open house and crane launch in South Africa

Grove Dealer CLT (Crane Load Technology) has expanded its plans to connect with customers and feature the newest Grove all-terrain cranes in South Africa.

On January 27 the company will host a handover ceremony to celebrate the delivery of a Grove GMK5250L to a company that is one of the world’s largest diamond miners and is currently working a mine in Botswana. After the ceremony the crane will drive directly to the mine.

On March 24 the company will host an open house to launch the Grove GMK4100L-1. Holger Haber product manager for all-terrain cranes at Manitowoc will address the 100 or so visitors expected at the event.

The 100 t GMK4100L-1 is a new long boom crane featuring a 60 m boom the best load charts in its class and a narrow 2.55 m width. The 250 t capacity GMK5250L is one of the most powerful and versatile five-axle cranes on the market and features the highest-rated capacity best load chart and quickest set up time in its class. It features the innovative VIAB turbo clutch which offers several benefits including wear-free starting and braking and reduced fuel consumption.
