HEC students engage in MLC100-1 assembly safety class as Georgia campus takes delivery of new crawler crane

• Forty students participated in a field day class on May 19th and watched the crawler crane be assembled and tested.
• Students learned assembly safety protocols and said the crane had “unbelievable control systems,” according to HEC President and CEO Bob Albano.

• Several Vernazza Autogru customers already requested and booked the rental company’s new Grove GMK5250XL-1 all-terrain crane before its official handover at the Manitowoc plant in Niella Tanaro, Italy.
• The highly anticipated five-axle, 250 t capacity crane joined Vernazza Autogru’s French fleet, where its compact design, easy maneuverability and long 78.5 m boom – the longest of all five-axle cranes on the market – will enable it to efficiently complete a broad range of jobs.

Utah-based Wagstaff Crane acquires Potain self-erecting tower crane dealership Bronson Crane

• Through the Bronson Crane acquisition, Wagstaff Crane will expand its product portfolio with Potain self-erecting cranes and offer NCCCO training and certification.
• Bronson Crane will continue to operate under its name, but the company will now be based out of the Wagstaff facilities in Murray, Utah.

Added comfort for operators: Manitowoc launches new carrier cab on four- and five-axle Grove all-terrain cranes up to 150 t capacity

• The new carrier cab is now available on specific models of Grove four- and five-axle all-terrain cranes up to 150 t capacity: the GMK4090-1, GMK4100L-2, GMK5150-1 and GMK5150L-1.
• The spacious cab fulfills the latest European crash test requirements and provides ample room for operators while remaining only 2.55 m wide.
• Customer feedback gained during the development process was key to increasing comfort and optimizing ergonomics in the carrier cab.

Heavy Equipment Colleges of America chooses Manitowoc cranes to educate the next generation of crane operators

• Amid a nationwide shortage of blue-collar workers, and crane operators in particular, Heavy Equipment College is training new students for a future in the lifting industry.
• The college has chosen several Manitowoc and Grove models to train students on because of their cutting-edge CCS Crane Control Systems and the support of local dealer, H&E Equipment Services.
• In 2021 it is taking delivery of two new Manitowoc MLC100-1 crawler cranes to join its fleet of approximately 15 Manitowoc and Grove cranes.

Potain MDT 319 and MRH 175 cranes help Paris’s DUO Towers reach completion

• Bateg, part of VINCI Construction France, is using a topless Potain MDT 319 and MRH 175 to complete the DUO Towers project, which will reshape the skyline of Paris’s 13th arrondissement.
• Developed by Ivanhoé Cambridge and designed by Atelier Jean Nouvel, the project consists of two asymmetrical and unaligned towers – 180 and 122 m respectively, which are due for completion in 2021.

New Potain MDT 489 topless crane offers high capacity with low operating costs

• The Potain MDT 489 can lift a maximum of 22 USt (20 t) or 27.6 USt (25 t) within a 262 ft (80 m) radius and be configured in multiple ways to make best use of the space and equipment available on the jobsite.
• The topless tower crane is simple to transport in standard containers, requiring four to five fewer containers than other cranes of the same size, and can be assembled in half the time, thanks to thoughtful design and Manitowoc’s Crane Control System (CCS).
