Potain and Grove cranes inspire sales at Turkish trade fair Komatek

NFT celebrates 30 years of partnership with Potain and unveils huge new facility

Leadership from both Manitowoc’s Potain brand and NFT its distribution partner for much of the Middle East gathered in Abu Dhabi UAE to celebrate 30 years of cooperation and to view NFT’s new state-of-the-art facility. Since its inception in 1987 NFT has grown rapidly – in partnership with Potain – and today the company is the largest owner of Potain tower cranes in the world. To help service its huge fleet the company relocated its operations earlier this year to a major new location approximately 31 miles (50 km) from the center of Abu Dhabi.

Manitowoc boosts Crane Care team for Asia

Manitowoc has made two new appointments to its Crane Care customer service team for Potain tower cranes in Asia. Jerome Carre and Jenny Chong join as customer service manager and customer service specialist respectively. Carre will report directly to Marco Zucchet director of sales and customer service for tower cranes in Asia. Chong will join the broader Crane Care team which Carre will lead.

Potain Hup 40-30 makes an award-winning debut in Eastern Europe

The Potain Hup 40-30 self-erecting crane was shown for the first time at two international building exhibitions in Eastern Europe in April. Prebold Slovenia-based Manitowoc dealer Ferokov exhibited the crane at the 40th edition of BUILDING a construction equipment fair in Zagreb Croatia. And a few weeks later the company showed the crane at the South East Europe Belgrade Building Expo (SEEBBE) in Belgrade Serbia.

Kesar Constructions uses Potain MCi 85 A to build mall in India

Founded in 2000 and based in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh Kesar Constructions specializes in residential commercial and industrial projects. In 2013 the company bought its first Potain crane an MCi 85 A. The unit was selected off the back of its reputation for reliability and productivity and Sumer Singh Rathore owner of Kesar Constructions liked the fact it was built locally.

NFT supplies Potain cranes to new tech hub in the Middle East

China State Construction Engineering Corporation is using nine Potain tower cranes to construct a major new tech-focused development in Dubai. Silicon Park is the brainchild of developer Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority with China State Construction acting as main contractor on the job. The nine cranes were all supplied by NFT and they include eight of Potain’s advanced MCT 205 topless models plus an MC 205 B top-slewing unit.

Dual Grove all-terrains provide stability in tight quarters for Detroit demolition

Two Grove all-terrain cranes played a pivotal role in demolishing an abandoned building at a General Motors facility in Michigan. Detroit-based JJ Curran Crane used a GMK6300L and a GMK6400 to assist with one of the demolition’s most difficult tasks: the removal of a 67.5 USt steel walkway.
