Grove GMK4090 to make Australian debut at CICA 2018
Manitowoc’s newest all-terrain crane the best-in-class Grove GMK4090 will make its Australian debut at this year’s CICA 2018 event. The event organized by the Crane Industry Council of Australia will be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from October 17 to 19.
Four more Grove GMK4100L cranes for Indonesian dealer
PT SH Machinery Indonesia the dealer for Grove all-terrain cranes in Indonesia has ordered four GMK4100L cranes to add to its stock. The GMK4100L cranes will arrive in the first quarter of 2019 and PT SH Machinery Indonesia is confident they will prove popular. In 2017 the company delivered several of the long-boom all-terrain cranes.
Concrete specialist dechant hoch- und ingenieurbau adds a Grove GMK4100L-1
A leading German building contractor dechant hoch- und ingenieurbau has added a new Grove GMK4100L-1 to its fleet. The four-axle all-terrain crane features a 100 t capacity and a 60 m boom and offers best-in-class lifting from its compact chassis. Its combination of power and size makes it ideal for tight working quarters and job sites where maneuverability is needed.
Four new Grove cranes ensure smooth sailing at Taiwanese port
Grove’s dealer in Taiwan Champion Auto has delivered four new mobile cranes to a port in the south of the country. There are two GMK4100L all-terrain cranes and two RT540E rough-terrain cranes. Champion Auto is a market leader in Taiwan in the sales and support of heavy machinery military vehicles and other specialized equipment. It has been operating for 27 years.

Potain MCH 125 debuts in Thailand on mixed-use development for Obayashi
The first Potain MCH 125 in Thailand is providing swift and efficient lifting duties for Thai Obayashi on the Samyan Mitrtown mixed-use development in Bangkok. The crane leased from local dealer SB Siam is lifting a range of materials including 3 t concrete blocks and will also install a 5 t transformer. It started work at a height of 51.4 m with a jib configuration of 40 m. Final working height for the crane will be 144.4 m when construction completes in May 2019.
Manitowoc expands coverage in North Dakota with Hayden-Murphy
Manitowoc has expanded Hayden-Murphy’s coverage of Grove and Manitowoc cranes to include North Dakota. The Minneapolis-based company now offers full sales rentals aftermarket parts and service for the entire state of North Dakota. The move strengthens Manitowoc’s dealer network in the region.
Customers preview new Potain MCT 565 on Chinese factory tour
A group of more than 40 customers from across Asia-Pacific toured Manitowoc’s Potain factory in Zhangjiagang China to see firsthand the production improvements at the manufacturing plant. The group were also given an exclusive preview of the Potain MCT 565 topless crane which will officially launch at bauma China this November.
Potain MCT 385 cranes chosen for Singapore’s first ‘smart’ housing block
A fleet of 12 Potain tower cranes is working on a pioneering public housing project in Singapore. The development is the country’s first “smart” housing block and incorporates a number of eco-friendly design features such as energy-efficient elevators and waste chutes for recyclable materials.
Potain cranes lead construction on Vietnam’s tallest building
The completion of Landmark 81 is set to transform the skyline of Ho Chi Minh City. All 81 stories of the building were completed in January this year 15 months after four Potain cranes were deployed to lead construction. The two MR 418 luffing jib cranes and two MCT 205 topless cranes handled steel formwork and other materials during building work.
Potain and Lift Solutions contribute to stunning Monaco ocean lands reclamation project from Marseille
Three Potain MD top-slewing tower cranes are helping to construct 18 reinforced concrete “caissons” that are required as part of the design and construction of the new Portier Cove eco-neighbourhood in Monaco. Started in 2016 Portier Cove is a €1.36 billion plan that will see six hectares of land reclaimed from the sea upon which 60 000 m² of housing an extension of the Grimaldi Forum and a coastal promenade will be built.

Uma frota de seis guindastes Manitowoc está sendo usada na construção da Vila dos Atletas dos Jogos Pan-Americanos de 2019 em Lima no Peru. Desde dezembro cinco gruas Potain MCi 85 e um guindaste montado sobre caminhão comercial Grove TMS800E têm sido usados na obra para elevar moldes blocos de concreto e equipamentos menores. As sete torres de apartamentos da Vila precisam ficar prontas até junho de 2019 quando começam os jogos. As 1.096 unidades vão acomodar todos os 9.000 atletas participantes do evento na capital peruana.
