Potain MDT 319 and MRH 175 cranes help Paris’s DUO Towers reach completion

• Bateg, part of VINCI Construction France, is using a topless Potain MDT 319 and MRH 175 to complete the DUO Towers project, which will reshape the skyline of Paris’s 13th arrondissement.
• Developed by Ivanhoé Cambridge and designed by Atelier Jean Nouvel, the project consists of two asymmetrical and unaligned towers – 180 and 122 m respectively, which are due for completion in 2021.

New Potain MDT 489 topless crane offers high capacity with low operating costs

• The Potain MDT 489 can lift a maximum of 22 USt (20 t) or 27.6 USt (25 t) within a 262 ft (80 m) radius and be configured in multiple ways to make best use of the space and equipment available on the jobsite.
• The topless tower crane is simple to transport in standard containers, requiring four to five fewer containers than other cranes of the same size, and can be assembled in half the time, thanks to thoughtful design and Manitowoc’s Crane Control System (CCS).

Potain MCT 58 installed by helicopter on hydroelectric dam at volcano foot

• Manitowoc dealer GLI has replaced the old Potain 427 E tower crane installed on the EDF Sainte-Rose hydroelectric dam on the island of La Réunion with a new MCT 58.
• Because of the inaccessible location at the foot of a volcano, the crane had to be manufactured in sections weighing less than 1 t and erected using a commercial helicopter. 
• The new remoted-controlled MCT 58 will carry out essential maintenance and reinforcement operations, helping to maintain the French Overseas Department’s supply of green energy.

Three Potain cranes deployed for Symbiosis urban regeneration project in Milan, Italy

• Contractor and developer C.M.B. has deployed two Potain MD 208 A tower cranes and a topless MDT 219 for the Symbiosis project in the Ripamonti district of Milan, Italy.
