Grove GMK5250XL-1 begins operations at South Korea’s latest semiconductor facility
• JE IL in Korea chose the Grove GMK5250XL-1 all-terrain crane for the project, citing Manitowoc’s past service and support as the primary factor for their choice.

• The customer will use the Grove GMK5250XL-1 to support the construction of a new semiconductor plant in South Korea, a major hub for microelectronics.

South Korea’s Bong-Hwang adds Grove GMK5250XL-1 and gets to work on factory-build

Crane Korea expands its fleet with two new Grove five-axle all-terrain cranes
• The Company ordered a GMK5150XL and GMK5250XL-1 to support its growing roster of projects, including constructing a new semiconductor factory in Pyeongtaek.

In August 2018 Obaid Kneish and Sons General Transport Establishment (Obaid Kneish and Sons) purchased its first Grove GRT8100 to work in the oil fields of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The company was immediately impressed with the crane’s competitive load capacity build quality and smooth operations and has since added two more to its fleet.
Singapore construction company Dragages Singapore is using a Potain MCR 295 luffing jib tower crane to construct CapitaSpring one of the tallest buildings in the city state’s Raffles Place district. At 280 m high the S$1.82 billion development will feature 51 stories of Grade A office space ancillary retail space and a serviced residence.

Winkler Crane a Truro Massachusetts-based crane contracting company needed an efficient versatile crane that was able to provide excellent performance on a wide range of applications. With business booming the company had to quickly replace its previous boom truck which had been damaged during a traffic accident. Rather than replace it with the same model Winkler Crane decided to upgrade the fleet with a higher capacity longer reach machine. Manitowoc Cranes was awarded a $28.2 million contract to provide Grove all-terrain cranes to the U.S. Army. The GMK4060HC cranes (HC for heavy crane) are specifically engineered for military use and have unique features that make them suitable for job sites on a variety of terrains. The contract is expected to be fulfilled in 2020.
Stephenson Equipment Inc. (SEI) a Harrisburg Pennsylvania-based National Crane dealer took delivery of its fourth new NTC55L boom truck at the 2019 International Construction and Utility Exposition (ICUEE). According to Darin D’Ascanio territory manager for SEI the new crane will be attractive to customers in many different segments including utility work tree care and crane rental.
Manitowoc and Western Pacific Crane and Equipment (Western Pacific) celebrated the Fontana California-based dealer’s purchase of a new National Crane NBT30H-2 TM boom truck at the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE). The crane was on display at Manitowoc’s booth during this year’s show which was held October 1 – 3 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville Kentucky.

Manitowoc Cranes has appointed Luciano Dias as the new sales director for Brazil. In this role Dias is charged with furthering The Manitowoc Way in Brazil bringing increased velocity and innovation to its operations in the country. He leads both sales and customer support on all of Manitowoc’s product lines available in the country. He is also responsible for Manitowoc’s training center located in Sao Paulo which serves technicians across Latin America.
Ceccanti a Tacoma Washington-based construction company needed a crane with superior maneuverability that could handle heavy loads at great heights to assist with the replacement of an old wooden bridge in Ridgefield Washington. The contractor found the MLC300 crawler crane had the right features to get the job done in the shortest time possible.
Digging and Rigging a crane and rigging company based out of Mount Airy Maryland deployed a Grove TMS500-2 truck crane to assist a helicopter with the installation of a new radio tower in Clear Spring Maryland. The helicopter air-lifted the 5-USt tower antenna while the truck crane helped tail it until it was in a complete vertical position.
