  • Huit grues Potain s’associent pour construire l’impressionnant nouveau bâtiment CityWave à Milan

    • CMB et Colombo Costruzioni, deux des noms les plus respectés du secteur de la construction en Italie, s’associent pour la construction d’un tout nouveau projet révolutionnaire avec la pré-certification LEED Platine, qui sera le tout premier bâtiment à usage mixte de Milan avec un impact environnemental nul.
    • Ces deux sociétés, utilisatrices de longue date des grues à tour de Potain, ont travaillé aux côtés de l’équipe Lift Solutions de Manitowoc pour sélectionner une combinaison parfaite de huit grues adaptées à la forme unique du bâtiment à mesure de l’avancement de la construction.

  • Grove améliore le modèle GMK6400-1 sous la dénomination GMK6450-1

    • Grove a répondu à la demande des clients à la recherche d’une grue dotée d’une capacité supérieure en proposant le modèle GMK6450-1 de Grove.
    • La mise à jour de la dénomination répond aux retours des clients et met plus précisément en avant les capacités de levage supérieures de la grue dans la catégorie à six essieux.
    • La capacité nominale maximale passe de 400 t à 450 t.

  • Potain soutient le premier programme diplômant de monteur de grues à tour en France

    • La nouvelle initiative de la Potain Academy allie cours théoriques et formation pratique dédiés au montage de grues à tour. 
    • Les participants recevront un diplôme reconnu par l’État à l’issue d’un programme de dix semaines, contribuant ainsi au développement professionnel des monteurs de grues à tour.

Italian rental company adds first Grove all-terrain crane

Italian rental company Farioli has purchased its first Grove all-terrain crane. The family-owned business based in Novara in the north west of the country bought a 200 t capacity GMK5200-1. Launched in 2015 the GMK5200-1 is a five-axle mobile crane with a 64 m main boom.

Grove GMK5150L relocates historic church in Australia

Australian crane rental company Cranes Combined supplied a Grove GMK5150L all-terrain crane to move a church in the state of Tasmania. Equipped with 5.6 t of counterweight and working at a radius of just under 12 m the crane took approximately seven hours to move the 6 t church which had been in position for over 100 years.

Manitowoc appoints Mark Hooper as Vice President Sales – North America Distribution Management

Mark Hooper has joined Manitowoc as Vice President Sales – North America Distribution Management Hydraulic and Crawler Cranes. Hooper is responsible for sales leadership and product management for Grove rough-terrain truck-mounted telecrawler all-terrain and carrydeck product lines in North America. Hooper has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the construction industry with much of that time spent at Case New Holland. He will report directly to David Hull Vice President – Americas Sales.

Manitowoc opens new Crane Care training center in São Paulo

Manitowoc has opened a new Crane Care training center in the city of Santana de Parnaíba which is located in the metropolitan area of São Paulo a major South American transportation hub. The move will provide easier access to Manitowoc’s training programs for technicians across Latin America.

Manitowoc releases free diagnostic mobile app to increase crane uptime for customers

Manitowoc Cranes has announced a new smartphone app that will help customers to diagnose technical issues on their cranes much faster. The free app will be available on iOS and Android devices and will enable users to understand the numeric diagnostic codes that are generated by their on-board control systems. Manitowoc is the first manufacturer in the crane industry to release an app of this kind.

Maxim Crane Works adds 48 Potain tower cranes in massive fleet expansion

Maxim Crane Works (Maxim) has added 48 new Potain top-slewing tower cranes to its already expansive Potain fleet. The Newport Kentucky-based company will start taking deliveries of the new tower cranes beginning in May of 2018.

Grove GMK6400 beats tough timeframe to erect 24 t derrick crane atop German bank

German crane specialist BKL Baukran Logistik has used a Grove GMK6400 to lift parts of a 24 t (26.5 USt) derrick crane atop a 94 m (308 ft)-high bank in Eschborn northwest Frankfurt. The derrick crane is needed to conduct roof refurbishment in the area.

Potain Hup range proves popular at Icelandic tradeshow

Manitowoc’s Icelandic dealer Kraftvélar has showcased its broad range of crane solutions at Verk og vit 2018 (Construct North) a construction tradeshow that took place between March 8-11 2018 in the country’s capital of Reykjavik.

Manitowoc a annoncé le lancement du successeur de la grue automotrice routière extrêmement prisée Grove GMK6300L qui a été mise sur le marché en 2010 et a immédiatement connu un succès mondial. Le nouveau modèle la GMK6300L-1 d’une capacité de 300 t (350 t U.S.) perpétuera l’héritage de son prédécesseur en atteignant de nouveaux sommets en matière de performances en tête de la catégorie des six essieux.

Nigerian natural gas plant adds two Grove GMK5130-2 cranes

Nigeria Liquid Natural Gas (NLNG) has purchased two Grove GMK5130-2 all-terrain cranes. The company runs one of the world’s largest gas liquefaction plants from its facility on Bonny Island Nigeria. The two 130 t capacity cranes will be used for plant maintenance and construction work.

PT Saranabaja Perkasa orders first Grove all-terrain cranes

PT Saranabaja Perkasa has received three new Grove all-terrain cranes. Two are GMK4100L units while the third is a GMK5220. All were purchased from local dealer PT SH Machinery Indonesia. Hidayat president-director of PT Saranabaja Perkasa said there were several design features that attracted his company to the Grove brand.

Compact GMK4100L-1 tackles crowded Melbourne job sites

Crane rental company Skylift Crane Services is the latest Australian business to invest in the increasingly popular GMK4100L-1 from Grove’s long-boom series of all-terrain cranes. At just 2.55 m wide and 13.42 m long the crane is easier to maneuver than five-axle alternatives yet its 100 t capacity and 60 m Megaform boom mean it has the strength and reach to take on lifts more commonly associated with larger cranes.
