In the 1950's, Manitowoc Equipment Works began building a high-quality line of commercial refrigerated display cases for the emerging supermarket industry. It then pioneered the successful development of commercial ice machines, and with the addition of walk-in refrigeration and beverage dispensing equipment to the cold-focused portfolio, Manitowoc Foodservice was born. Today, Manitowoc Foodservice is the world’s largest manufacturer of hot and cold-focused commercial foodservice and food retail equipment supplying restaurants, convenience stores, hotels, institutions, and commissaries around the world.
